HMA Subcontractor Cloud PC User Guide - Windows (Windows App)
Introduction
This document is intended for subcontractors accessing HMA technologies and resources from a personally owned Windows device. HMA uses a Virtual Desktop technology called Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PC, simply referred to as Cloud PC. Each Cloud PC is a virtual machine dedicated to an individual. Windows users can choose to access the Cloud PC through the program called Windows App.
Installing Windows App
For Windows PC users: You will need the Microsoft Windows App to access your Cloud PC, available here from the Microsoft Store. Click to Install the Windows App and allow the browser to open the Store link.

Note: Microsoft has previously changed the name of this app from "Windows 365 app". If you find that app it will work as well.
Accessing your new Cloud PC
1. Find and launch the Windows App (previously called Windows 365). Use the Windows Search box and search for "Windows App". You should also click the Pin to Start and/or Pin to Taskbar to help find the Windows App in the future:

2. Launch the Windows App and sign in using your new HMA username and password. You may be prompted to setup multifactor authentication (MFA) when signing into the Windows App.

3. Click the "Connect" button to access your Cloud PC:

Note: You may be prompted again to login with your new account credentials and MFA while connecting to the Cloud PC.
Note: If you receive a prompt to āAllow remote desktop connection?ā (shown below), please answer Yes.

4. You will then be connected via remote desktop to the Cloud PC. It may also take a couple of minutes the first time you log in. Because this is a "fresh" setup, you'll need to accept the welcome prompts for many applications as if you have not used them before.
Additional Information:
FYI, you can have the Cloud PC use only 1 of your monitors, or all of your monitors. You may modify this setting in the Windows app by clicking the 3 dots (hamburger), selecting Settings, and then Display. For more information on this, please follow these instructions.
You may need to install additional software using these instructions.
There is an alternate installer for Windows (x64) attached to this article and for other platforms available here.
