Enable 2FA on WordPress Account Overview This guide will walk you through the process of enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on a WordPress site. Process Log into the WordPress site the way that you normally would. Select your profile in the upper-right corner and select Edit Profile. Scroll to the bottom of the profile page and select Activate 2FA under the Wordfence Login Security section. Scan the QR code that is presented on your screen using your choice of authenticator application.📝Duo Mobile is the preferred authenticator application. HMA colleagues whose phone is HMA-managed should have the Microsoft Authenticator app pre-installed as well. After you have scanned the key into your authenticator app, locate the 6-digit One Time Password (OTP) code.📝The code displayed will rotate every 30 seconds and will not work after that period. This is also referred to as Timed One Time Password (TOTP.e.g. in the Microsoft authenticator app Enter that code into the field in step 2 of the WordPress website and select Activate. Select Skip when prompted to download recovery codes. If you need your 2FA reset you can reach out to IT Support for assistance. You should see the following page indicating that you have successfully set up two-factor authentication on your account.
